Direct answers about hotel mapping, room identity, supplier data, and the Travunio demo.
What is Travunio?
Travunio is a travel data brand built around hotel mapping, room mapping, supplier connectivity, content intelligence and mapping analytics. This website presents the solution design and an interactive hotel matching demonstration.
Who is Travunio designed for?
The solution is designed for online travel agencies, bedbanks, wholesalers and travel technology teams that need consistent property identities across multiple data sources.
Can we keep our existing hotel master IDs?
Yes. The architecture is designed to retain an existing approved master, including Techno Heaven IDs, and attach supplier relationships to it with source evidence and history.
Is the matching demonstration connected to live suppliers?
No. It uses illustrative records in the browser to explain hotel matching decisions. It does not establish live supplier connectivity, production mapping accuracy or room availability.
Does Travunio guarantee a particular mapping accuracy?
No performance benchmark is claimed on this website. Production quality needs to be measured on representative, independently verified data, with the sample, metric and evaluation scope disclosed.
How are uncertain or conflicting records handled?
The proposed workflow keeps uncertain cases in a review queue. An operator inspects the source records and candidate evidence, then records an approved match, rejection or follow-up action.
What data is needed for hotel mapping?
Start with a supplier identifier, supplier hotel code, property name and country. Address, city, postcode, coordinates and verified external identifiers improve the evidence available for a decision. Incomplete records may need review.
Can existing Techno Heaven hotel IDs be retained?
Yes. The solution design treats an existing approved master ID as the stable property identity. Supplier codes are linked to that ID, and any proposed merge or split should be reviewed and recorded.
Does a mapped hotel mean rooms are available?
No. Mapping establishes a relationship between property records. Room availability and prices depend on search dates, occupancy, supplier inventory and booking conditions, and must be obtained separately.
What happens when two hotels have similar names?
Compare their addresses, coordinates, building details and other identifiers. Separate towers or properties in one complex should remain distinct when the evidence does not establish that they are the same property.
Are a king room and a twin room the same room type?
Not automatically. Bed configuration can be a material difference. A room offering either a king or twin bed is also different from a guaranteed king unless the supplier explicitly confirms equivalence.
Should breakfast be included in room identity?
Breakfast normally describes the offer or rate plan. The same room category can be sold with different meals and cancellation terms. Keep those conditions separate and compare them before presenting offers as equivalent.
How should run-of-house rooms be handled?
A run-of-house description may leave the final category or allocation unspecified. Preserve that uncertainty and avoid promising a specific category, bed or view unless the source explicitly provides it.
Can room mapping use only the room name?
A room name can help find candidates, but it often omits important attributes. Use structured details and hotel context where available, and route incomplete or contradictory records to review.
